Practising certificates
Need to know if a midwife has a current practising certificate?
The online search facility for the Register of Midwives can be accessed from this site. Anyone wishing to check the registration and practising status of a midwife can check there. All of the information that we are able to give out is shown there. Normally the online copy of the Register is updated at least once per week, generally midday each Friday. It will be updated overnight on 31 March so all midwives with practising certificates for the 2010/11 year will show on 1 April. A receipts for payment is enclosed with each practising certificate card.
